Hello everyone, I hope you all enjoyed the holiday. Mine was a little bit stressful. Most Importantly I am grateful for the power of the resurrection. It isn't too late to still say Happy Easter to you all. Recently I was in a heated argument with someone and after it all, I had a deep thought and the whole conversation motivated me to achieve what i thought i couldn't do. I had to leave my comfort zone and I was so glad I did. Sometimes even before trying, we give up or we just don't see it as possible. Other times we are too afraid to believe in ourselves. We are so comfortable with the way we have been for years and we are not sure we want to try something new, not minding what the result might be. We are scared of leaving our comfort zones even when we have a clear picture of what the other side looks like. It has been no news that the Algebra Don has passed on. It came as a rude shock. I couldn't believe it, not until I saw a post from his mentee Daniel Oluwadamilare Akintoye, a former colleague who also graduated from the same Department. Aminu Othman Zubairu was a lecturer of the Department of Mathematics, The University of Ibadan. He was different and so Intelligent. He was one lecturer who was very principled and very Impactful. Algebra wasn't my favorite though, but I always look forward to his classes. He was a very outstanding lecturer. I will never forget the 'iff (if and only if) and so many other algebra terms because of him. So many stories have sprung up concerning the circumstance surrounding his death. I never knew there were other issues, family and his Ph.D. delay for 22years. This is so depressing! This same genius of a man has been pursuing a Ph.D. degree for 22 years in the University of Ibadan, while his students would probably have gotten their Ph.D
