I can't do this anymore.

This was the exact same words I had when she walked up to me and poured out her heart to me. Mrs. Nwosu has been one of my closest friends in church and since her husband was also a friend to my husband. It made the bond of friendship even stronger. Anyone who saw her would have thought she is having the best times in her relationship. Although they were still trying for a child that never weighed down her bubbling self. She was always happy and also made everyone around her happy too. After Church service on Sunday, she came straight to where I sat and told me she wasn't comfortable with it anymore. My curious self asked her what it was and she told me it wasn't something we would discuss in the open. I quickly grabbed my clutch and dashed off with her. We arrived at the mall and went straight to an eatery. To my greatest surprise, she burst out in tears and hugged me closely saying Sis I can't do this anymore. I am losing my mind. A little sleep, A little slumber

Proverb 23:33 & 34, A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest and poverty will come on you like a thief and scarcity like an armed man. I got inspired to do this writeup this morning after a brief meditation and this was the first thing that came to mind. How have you all been? There have been too many bloodsheds in Nigeria of late. From the Presidential and governorship election to the Anambra Incident and the collapsed building in Lagos. May God Console every one who was involved in one way or the other. We all know there is usually a trend of word, attitude or dance moves in Nigeria. But 'JI MASUN' and ' GBE BODY E' crack me up all the time and for the literal meaning too. JI MASUN to my understanding literally means 'WAKE UP, DON'T SLEEP' while the other means 'CARRY YOUR BODY'. Inasmuch as they both crack me up, I deduced something from both which was linked up to  A little sleep a little slumber.

International Women's Day

It is that time of the year again. It is the International Women's day. This is celebrated every year on 8th March.  This year the theme is ' Think equal, build smart, innovate for change' International Women’s Day is a time to reflect on progress made, to call for change and to celebrate acts of courage and determination by ordinary women who have played an extraordinary role in the history of their countries and communities. The 2019 theme  Think equal, build smart, innovate for change  focuses on innovative ways in which we can advance gender equality and the empowerment of women, particularly in the areas of social protection systems, access to public services and sustainable infrastructure. The achievement of the ambitious Sustainable Development Goals ( SDGs ) requires transformative shifts, integrated approaches and new solutions, particularly when it comes to advancing gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls.
