A little sleep, A little slumber

Proverb 23:33 & 34, A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest
and poverty will come on you like a thief and scarcity like an armed man.

I got inspired to do this writeup this morning after a brief meditation and this was the first thing that came to mind. How have you all been? There have been too many bloodsheds in Nigeria of late. From the Presidential and governorship election to the Anambra Incident and the collapsed building in Lagos. May God Console every one who was involved in one way or the other.

We all know there is usually a trend of word, attitude or dance moves in Nigeria. But 'JI MASUN' and ' GBE BODY E' crack me up all the time and for the literal meaning too. JI MASUN to my understanding literally means 'WAKE UP, DON'T SLEEP' while the other means 'CARRY YOUR BODY'. Inasmuch as they both crack me up, I deduced something from both which was linked up to  A little sleep a little slumber.

While sleep so much when you are yet to see results, when even those with results aren't sleeping as much. if you must make a difference you must put in extra effort, more time and do things differently, do not relent and giving up is not even an option.

Thomas Edison made thousands of unsuccessful attempts before he invented the bulb. So much patient he had if you ask me. If he had given, maybe he won't be known for his invention and someone else would have gotten all the credit for it. He did things differently, he put in more effort and gave in more time and eventually, he got the result he wanted.

Ensure you don't leave any stone unturned when taking actions. What differentiates a man from another is his way of thinking, his approach, actions taken, time invested and of course results made.

Don't start by saying the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. Take charge of your situation. Stay woke. Gbe body e. Ji! Masun.

Have a beautiful weekend!

Sending you love and light,
Linda.

My birthday Thanksgiving/ Thanksgiving Jar

Hello friends, It's been a moment. Today is the 21st of May 2021, how amazing! Yesterday was so special to me, not only because several years ago on the 20th of May my joyful parents received a perfect gift from God but because looking back all I can see is the mighty hands of God. I got very heartwarming messages and I am eternally grateful for it. With our busy schedule taking out time to drop a message for me means I matter, and I truly appreciate you all. The previous year had its challenges but there is nothing as joyful as winning a war. I pray God shows up for you all amid the storm. I can't do without talking about the goodness of the mighty God. He is the reason I celebrated and was celebrated. All the glory belongs to him. To my immediate family My husband, Children, Mother, brothers, and sisters, you are the best thing after Jesus and I love you always. To my friends you all are special. I am grateful to have celebrated yesterday with you all. Every day of our lives...

GOOD BYE TO 2024 : WELCOME TO THE NEW YEAR 2025!

Greetings, Friends Since I haven't been here in a long time, I know that some of you must have moved on, even though I know that many of you would be speculating about my return. I'm apologizing publicly for being away for so long. To be honest, 2024 was a lot for me; I needed to do more reflection. Let us begin the new year with a heartfelt congrats. I'd like to wish everyone a happy new year. We can never get 2024 back, no matter how much we make or lose. It has only been added to a list of the years you have spent on this planet. It's only the second day of the year, but it's already a new year. Here's a little math exercise: We have 363 days remaining if we subtract two days from the 365-day year. This means that we have plenty of time to get our plans for the year off the ground. Watch this space because I will be sharing a lot with you this year. I pray that the new year brings us all good health, joy, peace, love, and unity and that we continue to be acc...

My Uk life Series - The Beginning (Planning)

Hi Friends, This has been long overdue but I think I am in a good place to begin this series. Travelling has never been something on my list. Even as kids, I would constantly say I loved it in my home country ‘Nigeria’ and wasn’t going anywhere. I never knew God had other plans. I recalled making enquiries about Canada’s Permanent Residency and how you had to take the IELTS as part of the requirement. All of a sudden, I was intrigued and tried it. I also made an effort to persuade my husband to do the same, but he shared my perspective and wasn't thrilled about the prospect of living abroad. In any case, we both completed the IELTS and got started on the procedure, but we gave it up since we had a more important assignment that needed our full focus.   In 2021, we decided to relocate to the United Kingdom. At first, it was difficult because I was only starting to adjust to a new state and environment after resigning my 9 to 5 job, and now I had to relocate once more. I wasn't...
