Are You Positioned Rightly?

It's Exactly 40 days to Christmas and about 46 days to a New Year. Where you are right now is a result of all the decisions you have made till today. you have more than enough time to re-position yourself for success. photo credit:  www.hmeeketing.xyz Re-access, Rethink and Recreate...you shouldn't live life on the sidelines. If at this point you wake up in the morning and don't feel good abut yourself if you have to pretend to be happy or having a good time or keep putting up fake smiles Reassess, that's not the right place If you keep waiting for the day to end. waiting for "Phcn" to restore the light or for you favorite TV show to come on then you are not rightly engaged Re-access, that's not the right place If you keep ruminating on thoughts that are not in your circle of influence or running around in the same old vicious circle. or maybe its buyers remorse you are stuck with, probably recycling the same old gut feeling Re-a

I smell Christmas

Yes, I know it's been a while. Let me officially say a Happy New month to you all. For some reason, I think the year is coming to an end real fast and the festive season is almost here. This Xmas season will be so special, I can feel it already. I will try my best to blog more frequently especially during the festive period. So many things make Christmas special to me but I will be sharing a few with you. Christmas is usually celebrated on the 25th of December yearly.  These are a few of all the things that makes Christmas special: The harmattan Season: There is this feeling when it's the harmattan season... It makes me know christmas is here. The fact that everywhere is dry and cold during this period makes it so special. Fireworks: Although I am so frightened by fireworks, the sound and everything about it makes it scary, but I still love that sound in a way because it reminds me of Christmas eve. Decorations: You just know it's Christmas by the

Try doing it differently!

Sometimes in life its good to take the bulls by the horns. Have you ask yourself what is it you aren't doing right? You have tried over and over again and you keep having the same result. Have you tried a different method or approach? Sometimes we are stuck with the same result because we are too comfortable being on the same spot and too scared to try a different approach. Change is constant in life. Hence, a little change won't hurt. Don't you ever give up before you try. It's just like cooking a pot of jollof rice. Different people have different recipes for cooking jollof rice but eventually come up with same food which may differ in taste though. Some months ago I tried setting up my Adsense account and it was proving so difficult to get an approval. I got series of mail that showed my account was disapproved, I almost gave up but that didn't stop me. It made me do more research via Google and YouTube which helped me try a different approach until I

Different kind of people in the world

There are different kind ppppof people in the world. 1.The ones who are there no matter what (The loyal ones): They share in your joy, sorrow, they would laugh and cry with you. They have got your back no matter what. If you are going on a journey they would call to inform you there is a pot hole in front. When you are hurt they are hurt. They check up on you always. They are always a major factor to your growth. They are more like family. 2. The monitoring humans: These ones are just in the background. They are interested in your life's achievements, your position at work, your family's present state, what kind of car you drive. They keep close tabs on you on social media. Frequently going through pages and analyzing all the information they gather. 3. The pretenders: They act like they care, they act like friends but aren't. They are waiting for you to fail. You start up something they pretend they are in support but are always happy when something goes wrong.

Let it Go!

Let it Go! It sounds like the theme song in a Disney cartoon, yes you got it. It actually is. Frozen! What have you refused to let go in your life that has stolen your peace and is causing you sleepless night. Unforgiveness! fear! ...whatever it might be, let it go. No man has the right to snatch your peace away. You think you are doing yourself a favour by not forgiving that person, but that person you have vowed not to forgive has moved on with life and you are still behind, dwelling on the past. You are only hurting yourself, Let it go. Can it be your fears? Be bold and drop that heavy luggage of fear, let it go. How long are you willing to hold on to that past. Isn't it time to just let go and move on. Do not let your present slip away. Own it. Forget what hurt you but never forget what it taught you. Don't be a prisoner to things you can't change, If you can't do anything about it just let it go. Drop it, leave it, let it go. I would love to r

Positive Thinking

Hello everyone, I know it's been a while here. I have been ill but thank God I am back on my feet.I guess you all are doing great too. I was pondering on some things so I suddenly remembered my days in the University of Ibadan- how I penned down my life goals on a sheet of paper and how I always went back to review them. Well, the good news is that most of what I actually wrote then happened and I am grateful to God for that while a few are yet to be achieved. Before graduation, I had so many dreams and I couldn't wait for it to actualize. I would write down and set smart (specific, measureable, achievable, realistic and timely) goals and when it doesn't happen at the set time, I would feel a bit discouraged to even think right. One of those dreams was how my life would be like after my wedding. I will share a quick story about myself. After I got married, I felt pregnancy should happen immediately after the marriage is consummated. Having a child was of utmost imp

World Teachers' day

World Teachers' Day, also known as International Teachers Day is held annually on October 5, established in 1994, it commemorates the signing of the 1966 UNESCO/ILO Recommendation concerning the Status of Teachers, which is a standard-setting instrument that addresses the status and situations of teachers around the world. This recommendation outlines standards relating to education personnel policy, recruitment, and initial training as well as the continuing education of teachers, their employment, and working conditions. World Teachers' Day aims to focus on "appreciating, assessing and improving the educators of the world" and to provide an opportunity to consider issues related to teachers and teaching. Headless Thomas

While growing up, my son became very fond of watching animated programmes on TV with 'Thomas & Friends' as his favourite. His dad and I saw how much he loved the characters in the programme and decided to throw him a surprise by getting a Thomas toy for him. The moment he saw it he was over the moon. He played with his Thomas always, he goes out with it and even shares the bed with it, that was how much he loved Thomas. On one particular day while playing with Thomas, Thomas accidentally lost its head and that was how it became the headless Thomas. That didn't change a thing because he still played with the headless toy whenever he had the opportunity to. No one thought the head could be fixed and we just left Thomas headless for a long while. I bought a superglue to fix an earring, suddenly Blessing remembered the headless Thomas and thought it could be fixed. So she eventually applied  the glue to Thomas' neck and bingo! Thomas was whole again. When my son

Social Media Madness

There isn't any doubt that social media has had a significant impact on us and when we  look at the numerous change that social media has brought,we cannot fail to mention the positive and negative changes. Social media frenzy is one negative change that can't be overlooked. These days there are instances were people virtually divulge too much of their lives on social media. They give a hint of where they go, what they do, what they eat, what their houses look like, their latest acquisition and all what not on social media and then sit back to see other social media users' reaction to what they posted. Astonishingly there have been recorded cases of high mortality rate on social media (where people commit suicide and show a live video recording). To say the least, the best and worst can be found on social media and the madness is fast becoming a nightmare. Inasmuch as Social media serves as a channel where people can build virtual networks to connect with friends and

His favourite tv channel

I have always loved watching cartoon. I also enjoy watching with my kids. Not just because they are entertaining but because they are also educating. JimJam became his favourite and I love that it is a channel for kids from 0+, actually that was the tv channel I ensured he watched even as a baby. Here are some of his favourites: Caillou Caillou is all about a 4 year old boy who lives with his father, mother and sister rossie, they live in a blue house on pine street. Caillou being a toddler has friends, learns how to play sport and explores nature. He is also very friendly and curious too. If you have a toddler, and you are wondering what tv program suits him. Then try watching Caillou. Barney & Friends Barney is all about a purple dinosaur and his friends, baby bop and bj. It's all about sharing and caring. My son loves it so much and their songs are so educating. As a mum I have learnt so many songs from watching, Barney and friends is always so much fun

Planning a Low budget wedding

Planning a wedding isn't an easy task, it isn't surprising that many intending couples prefer hiring a wedding planner which is actually cost intensive, but I will be sharing simple tips on how to plan a wedding on a low budget and leave your guests speechless. The first thing to do is to define your budget. How much you will be spending for the  wedding , and what takes what on the budget list. If you aren't so sure of the actual amount then there is need to work with a range. Next thing is to have a To do list and prioritize each and every item in an ascending order, this makes it easier in knowing what is of utmost important to you and what is less important. This should be well documented. It is also imortant you keep the guest list small, involve both parents and give them reasons while this will be done so that you don't end up having guests that won't be catered for. This way you can plan for your guests and easily determine how many guests y

Who are You?

Have you ever dreamt about the life you want? The number of kids you would like to have? What your future spouse would look like? These are things you have a choice over but things like the family you were born into and genetic characteristics like fair or dark skin colour are things you have no control over. As a human its more important to focus on the things you have control over and focus on You and how to be at your best always than to be bothered by the things you cannot change. That there were hurdles during the race doesn't mean you won't get to the finish line. Do not look down on yourself simply because someone else has a negative opinion of you. Its their opinion anyways and you are still you. Infact you should always have in mind that you are your best version and that no one can ever be like you. There is something unique about your being. Who says you can't? You can and you will. Failure has never been a hereditary trait. Your father was a failure d

The Power of the tongue

Prov.18.21 - Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. The tongue and what comes out of your mouth depends on you. Do you speak carelessly and gradually speak death or do you speak life? Words kill and same words bring life. You are your 1st motivator. What kind of words do you speak to You. Self motivation is very important. God has given the power to choose from life and death and that is why he gave every individual a tongue. You have the power to speak fruitfulness, peace, joy, love, wealth, longetivity you just name it, all of this and more if you decide to choose life but if otherwise then you get death. Some people are the cause of their own problems because nothing good ever comes out from them. All they know how to do is curse, curse and curse and when it starts manifesting they still blame God. What fruit do you love, Death or Life? It's never too late to speak the right words to you to your chil

TIME

How do you spend your time? Who do you spend your time with? What do you spend your time on? Do you do the right things at the right time? These are the question you should ask yourself. Invest wisely, time waits for no one. If you spend the amount of time following up a celeb on social media into something that will be of great value to you. You will be more productive. Every second, minute or hour gone can never be retrieved. The more reason why every day should matter and shouldn't be wasted. You aren't there now doesn't mean you won't get there. Remember 'time and chance happeneth to them all' Ecclesiastes 9:11. You are 50. so what! You can be a CEO if you invest the right amount of time into your work. In the world today, not one  wealthy man or woman slept away their time and became rich by being idle. They invested a lot of time working. You can get money but you can never get more time. No one has ever made it from sleeping or being idle. TI

Fearfully and wonderfully made

I read up on social media that a boy committed suicide because he was always been compared to his mates that were financially doing well. I felt really bad after reading it. As a parent,  spouse or friend, whatever the relationship might be. No two human beings are same. We aren't just made, but we are fearfully and wonderfully made by God. God made us for a unique purpose. What appeals to you might not appeal to me. Making someone look like or becoming someone else isn't right. Every star should be given an opportunity to shine. Every one's journey is different and everything you need to succeed in your journey is in You. As a parent what kind of words do you use when speaking with your children. Is it one to help build their self esteem and make them fearless or, one that makes them feel they are nothing and can't amount to anything? You can only guide your child/children in their career path but imposing a career on them is like leading  a horse to t

Wonders of Tumeric

Health Benefit of Tumeric: 1. Anti- Inflammation: By the many challenges of modern life. Poor diet, high stress levels, lack of sleep and poor gut health can all contribute, so it's clear that we're in great need of anything that can help to balance and reduce inflammation. 2. It provides joint support By reducing inflammation, turmeric in turn plays a huge role in providing joint support. "It's this very anti-inflammatory activity that makes turmeric supportive for joint health. Joint pain and arthritis are among the most obvious signs of inflammation. And so anything that helps to balance inflammation may relieve symptoms – or even help prevent the problem occurring in the first place." Indeed, studies have proven the spice to play an active role in reducing joint degradation and aid in joint maintenance. As a result, organisations such as Arthritis Research UK recommend turmeric as a complimentary medicine. 3. It supports digestion

Thursday Motivation

Isaac Newton once said, 'If I have seen any farther, it is by standing on the shoulders of those who have gone ahead of me'. Maybe the reason why you haven't gone farther in your business or career  is because you are standing on the wrong shoulder. Whose shoulder are you standing on? Who is your mentor? What book have you been reading? What messages have you been listening to? If you must see further or go farther you should get the right information and knowledge for it. Stay Focused! Stay disciplined! #Thursdaymotivation

Friendship is a major part of life's journey. Whatever happens depend on the kind of people you surround yourself with. If your circle of  friends are not in support of your dreams, then it is time to take a long walk. Learn to sift through all relationship. If the people you surround yourself with don't add value to you in anyway, please take t hat long walk. Be careful about friends who frown at your success, dine with them using a very very long spoon and if you can, don't dine with them at all. It is better to have one loyal friend than have friends that are envious of your achievements. Sometimes your circle decreases in size and increases in value. Have a lovely weekend. I would love to hear from you. My humble self, Lindađź’•

Domestic Violence

Domestic violence is violence or other abuse by one person against another in a domestic setting such as in marriage or cohabitation. Most women are too scared to speak out and sometimes are not alive to tell their story. We are living in a world where people are so fast to judge ready and criticise you for almost everything. If a woman decides to walk out of her matrimonial home, why don't you ask what went wrong and try to encourage her but No, instead we will be the first to criticise her. So many women have died pretending to be happy when truly they are not, so many have been cheated on and abused yet come out with a smile on their face. If you are in a relationship and there are traces. Please don't manage the situation, just come out of it. For how long will you be battered, how long do you intend to be silent? How long do you intend to act being someone else? How long do you intend covering up for that man who tortures you? During the vows you made. I
