I smell Christmas

Yes, I know it's been a while. Let me officially say a Happy New month to you all.

For some reason, I think the year is coming to an end real fast and the festive season is almost here.

This Xmas season will be so special, I can feel it already. I will try my best to blog more frequently especially during the festive period.

So many things make Christmas special to me but I will be sharing a few with you. Christmas is usually celebrated on the 25th of December yearly.

These are a few of all the things that makes Christmas special:

  • The harmattan Season: There is this feeling when it's the harmattan season... It makes me know christmas is here. The fact that everywhere is dry and cold during this period makes it so special.
  • Fireworks: Although I am so frightened by fireworks, the sound and everything about it makes it scary, but I still love that sound in a way because it reminds me of Christmas eve.

  • Decorations: You just know it's Christmas by the decorations. Offices, stores and homes are decorated. Xmas trees, music light bulbs and artificial snow balls, not to forget Santa Claus. Thoughts of this alone make me so happy.

  •  Christmas songs and  carols: My favourite Christmas album is that of Boney M. I love it when it's been played in the background on Christmas morning. I just love the tracks and how melodious it is.

  • Food & Drinks:  What's a celebration without food? There is usually so much to eat and drink.
  • Be sure to have guests. Christmas is a season to show love and give. I love the fact that you can visit places with your family and just have fun.
I would also love to know what you love about Christmas and what you are looking forward to. Kindly drop your comments below

My birthday Thanksgiving/ Thanksgiving Jar

Hello friends, It's been a moment. Today is the 21st of May 2021, how amazing! Yesterday was so special to me, not only because several years ago on the 20th of May my joyful parents received a perfect gift from God but because looking back all I can see is the mighty hands of God. I got very heartwarming messages and I am eternally grateful for it. With our busy schedule taking out time to drop a message for me means I matter, and I truly appreciate you all. The previous year had its challenges but there is nothing as joyful as winning a war. I pray God shows up for you all amid the storm. I can't do without talking about the goodness of the mighty God. He is the reason I celebrated and was celebrated. All the glory belongs to him. To my immediate family My husband, Children, Mother, brothers, and sisters, you are the best thing after Jesus and I love you always. To my friends you all are special. I am grateful to have celebrated yesterday with you all. Every day of our lives...

GOOD BYE TO 2024 : WELCOME TO THE NEW YEAR 2025!

Greetings, Friends Since I haven't been here in a long time, I know that some of you must have moved on, even though I know that many of you would be speculating about my return. I'm apologizing publicly for being away for so long. To be honest, 2024 was a lot for me; I needed to do more reflection. Let us begin the new year with a heartfelt congrats. I'd like to wish everyone a happy new year. We can never get 2024 back, no matter how much we make or lose. It has only been added to a list of the years you have spent on this planet. It's only the second day of the year, but it's already a new year. Here's a little math exercise: We have 363 days remaining if we subtract two days from the 365-day year. This means that we have plenty of time to get our plans for the year off the ground. Watch this space because I will be sharing a lot with you this year. I pray that the new year brings us all good health, joy, peace, love, and unity and that we continue to be acc...

My Uk life Series - The Beginning (Planning)

Hi Friends, This has been long overdue but I think I am in a good place to begin this series. Travelling has never been something on my list. Even as kids, I would constantly say I loved it in my home country ‘Nigeria’ and wasn’t going anywhere. I never knew God had other plans. I recalled making enquiries about Canada’s Permanent Residency and how you had to take the IELTS as part of the requirement. All of a sudden, I was intrigued and tried it. I also made an effort to persuade my husband to do the same, but he shared my perspective and wasn't thrilled about the prospect of living abroad. In any case, we both completed the IELTS and got started on the procedure, but we gave it up since we had a more important assignment that needed our full focus.   In 2021, we decided to relocate to the United Kingdom. At first, it was difficult because I was only starting to adjust to a new state and environment after resigning my 9 to 5 job, and now I had to relocate once more. I wasn't...
