4 Financial Tips for You

It's been ages. Hello everyone how have you all been? I am so sorry for the long silence. It's been a very busy one though. A happy new month to you all.

Recently I went to a store with a list in my hands usually this is what I do. I make a list of all the things I want to purchase with a budget before making any purchase. This has really helped me a great deal and also my finance.

The fastest way to be in abject poverty is to purchase things because others are purchasing when you don't need them. The same thing happens to your goals. It is important we set goals either daily, weekly, monthly or yearly with dates. If you are one who set goals without a date, this means there is no challenge and it might take forever to get it done.

The way we handle our finances says a lot about you. If you mismanage your funds because it is just some hundreds of naira you would do the same when it is in millions. Always remember as an entrepreneur you don't eat into your capital but you keep investing.

Here are 4 simple financial tips for you.

1. Spend less than you earn: As simple as this sounds it is so difficult to struggle for so many people. The reason while so many people run into debts is simply that they spend more than they earn. Don't buy things because others are buying or because others have it. Buy things because you really need them and they are in line with your budget.

2. Stick to a budget: If you stick to a budget it makes your job easier, you don't have to buy anything on impulse. It guides your spending.

3. Have a saving plan: No matter how small you earn, have a minimum % of your earnings set aside for yourself before you start paying bills.

4. Invest: I am sure you must have heard this before, having multiple streams of income is better than having just a means of income.

Remember it's not about having lots of money but knowing how to manage it.

Have a Fruitful day.

Me, Myself and I
Linda.❤

GOOD BYE TO 2024 : WELCOME TO THE NEW YEAR 2025!

Greetings, Friends Since I haven't been here in a long time, I know that some of you must have moved on, even though I know that many of you would be speculating about my return. I'm apologizing publicly for being away for so long. To be honest, 2024 was a lot for me; I needed to do more reflection. Let us begin the new year with a heartfelt congrats. I'd like to wish everyone a happy new year. We can never get 2024 back, no matter how much we make or lose. It has only been added to a list of the years you have spent on this planet. It's only the second day of the year, but it's already a new year. Here's a little math exercise: We have 363 days remaining if we subtract two days from the 365-day year. This means that we have plenty of time to get our plans for the year off the ground. Watch this space because I will be sharing a lot with you this year. I pray that the new year brings us all good health, joy, peace, love, and unity and that we continue to be acc...

My Uk life Series - The Beginning (Planning)

Hi Friends, This has been long overdue but I think I am in a good place to begin this series. Travelling has never been something on my list. Even as kids, I would constantly say I loved it in my home country ‘Nigeria’ and wasn’t going anywhere. I never knew God had other plans. I recalled making enquiries about Canada’s Permanent Residency and how you had to take the IELTS as part of the requirement. All of a sudden, I was intrigued and tried it. I also made an effort to persuade my husband to do the same, but he shared my perspective and wasn't thrilled about the prospect of living abroad. In any case, we both completed the IELTS and got started on the procedure, but we gave it up since we had a more important assignment that needed our full focus.   In 2021, we decided to relocate to the United Kingdom. At first, it was difficult because I was only starting to adjust to a new state and environment after resigning my 9 to 5 job, and now I had to relocate once more. I wasn't...

How to cope in a Challenging situation

Hello everyone. I am aware it's been a minute here. I've been saddled with a lot of obligations, and juggling them all has proven challenging. Prioritising has been really difficult, but it's also crucial to strike a balance between work and personal life. I'm aware that having many obligations can sometimes make us feel completely overwhelmed, which is why I'll be sharing a few strategies that have helped me succeed in demanding circumstances.                               Identifying the Challenge Identifying the thing you refer to as the "challenge" is the initial coping strategy. Do you need to alter anything in your routine? Do you require a piece of equipment to make housework less stressful? Perhaps you need to prepare your meals for the upcoming week. Is it possible that you are becoming proficient in your current position and require a change of scenery?... Your ability to deal with or handle an issue im...
