Hello everyone, how are you doing? I hope that by now we'd be accustomed to the habit of frequently washing of hands or the use of hand sanitizers since the first confirmed case of coronavirus in our dear country. Prevention is sure better than cure!
I have had so many things going on so much that I haven't even thought about writing in a while. This just dropped in my heart. Having a business idea is a great plan, executing and implementing is another.
So many businesses have collapsed over the years some are still struggling and others still remain an idea. Inasmuch as we have got beautiful ideas and all. What differs? It's the intellect that differs.
I decided to title this having a sustaining and successful intellect as an employer. Have you noticed that an employer is always on his toes, thinking of how to increase profit, improve employees' standards? And constantly thinking about how to strategize and create new products to keep the organization at a very good distance from competitors.
They have the vision but need a team to work with- one that would complement them. They have got salaries to pay at the end of the month. They might be in the highest position in the organogram but are faced with so unseen stress and a sleepless night.
I was watching an interview about Aliko Dangote and the number of hours of sleep he had days when he first started his business. You will be shocked to know that he still works as hard as he did then even with all his acquisitions.
When I use to be in the 8-5 sector, I felt my boss was restless because he always seemed to have a long list of tasks and as an employee, I felt he was stressing me out to meet my daily deliverables and how I needed a break. I wasn't working with an employer's intellect. I didn't work like I owned the job and that was why I saw it as so much stress and couldn't handle the pressure.
A lot of us are fed up with our jobs, positions, and businesses because we are still driving that bus as a passenger, not as a driver or would I say one who is in charge of the steering. The passenger can sleep off, buy stuff, chit chat but the moment the driver shuts his eyes for a nap. I am sure we can tell what the result might be and how disastrous that might be.
Have an employer's intellect. Anything doing is worth doing well. It might be your business no matter how small it is. You need to start taking charge and drive that bus like you have it filled up with passengers that will safely get to their destination. Not only will they benefit but you will too.
Have an employer's intellect!
