Cultivating a Heart of Gratitude: My Journey to Creating a Testimony Journal

I’m excited to share something special with you all. I recently became an author and launched my very first gratitude and testimony journal . With everything happening around us, it’s easy to focus on what hasn’t worked—our losses, disappointments, and setbacks. Many of us keep mental records of our failures, but how often do we pause to appreciate the things that have gone well? The wins, the progress, the small victories, and the everyday blessings? This journal was created to help cultivate a consistent habit of gratitude . It’s designed as a 52-week journey , guiding you through an entire year of reflection, thanksgiving, and documenting your personal testimonies. Along the way, you’ll also find Bible verses that encourage gratitude and thanksgiving , helping you stay grounded and inspired. If you’ve been looking for a simple way to reflect, stay thankful, and document your journey throughout the year, this journal could be a meaningful companion. If you’d like to check it ou...

My Uk life Series - The Beginning (Planning)

Hi Friends, This has been long overdue but I think I am in a good place to begin this series. Travelling has never been something on my list. Even as kids, I would constantly say I loved it in my home country ‘Nigeria’ and wasn’t going anywhere. I never knew God had other plans. I recalled making enquiries about Canada’s Permanent Residency and how you had to take the IELTS as part of the requirement. All of a sudden, I was intrigued and tried it. I also made an effort to persuade my husband to do the same, but he shared my perspective and wasn't thrilled about the prospect of living abroad. In any case, we both completed the IELTS and got started on the procedure, but we gave it up since we had a more important assignment that needed our full focus.   In 2021, we decided to relocate to the United Kingdom. At first, it was difficult because I was only starting to adjust to a new state and environment after resigning my 9 to 5 job, and now I had to relocate once more. I wasn't...

GOOD BYE TO 2024 : WELCOME TO THE NEW YEAR 2025!

Greetings, Friends Since I haven't been here in a long time, I know that some of you must have moved on, even though I know that many of you would be speculating about my return. I'm apologizing publicly for being away for so long. To be honest, 2024 was a lot for me; I needed to do more reflection. Let us begin the new year with a heartfelt congrats. I'd like to wish everyone a happy new year. We can never get 2024 back, no matter how much we make or lose. It has only been added to a list of the years you have spent on this planet. It's only the second day of the year, but it's already a new year. Here's a little math exercise: We have 363 days remaining if we subtract two days from the 365-day year. This means that we have plenty of time to get our plans for the year off the ground. Watch this space because I will be sharing a lot with you this year. I pray that the new year brings us all good health, joy, peace, love, and unity and that we continue to be acc...

How to cope in a Challenging situation

Hello everyone. I am aware it's been a minute here. I've been saddled with a lot of obligations, and juggling them all has proven challenging. Prioritising has been really difficult, but it's also crucial to strike a balance between work and personal life. I'm aware that having many obligations can sometimes make us feel completely overwhelmed, which is why I'll be sharing a few strategies that have helped me succeed in demanding circumstances.                               Identifying the Challenge Identifying the thing you refer to as the "challenge" is the initial coping strategy. Do you need to alter anything in your routine? Do you require a piece of equipment to make housework less stressful? Perhaps you need to prepare your meals for the upcoming week. Is it possible that you are becoming proficient in your current position and require a change of scenery?... Your ability to deal with or handle an issue im...

BE THE BEST YOU CAN BE!

Strive greatly for Success. Give all your best in all you do. You have got it. No one wants to be associated with failure. It doesn't matter how much you have tried. Don't give up. It might be frustrating. I know! You might be on the verge of letting go. Please don't. There is light and that's what we must attain. A lot of thoughts about the future Nigeria is such a bad country Bad economy, bad leaders, bad government. But are people still thriving? YES We shouldn't lose focus on the things happening around us. I know there are a lot of distractions But how do I attain first place in a race when I am so bothered about onlookers and racers. Social media! How it makes me so happy and put a smile on my face.😁 But be careful there. It's such a great distraction. Addiction and a very bad one. If you aren't using it for the right course, please give yourself a break and I mean it. Not everything you see on the media is real. The earliest th...

My birthday Thanksgiving/ Thanksgiving Jar

Hello friends, It's been a moment. Today is the 21st of May 2021, how amazing! Yesterday was so special to me, not only because several years ago on the 20th of May my joyful parents received a perfect gift from God but because looking back all I can see is the mighty hands of God. I got very heartwarming messages and I am eternally grateful for it. With our busy schedule taking out time to drop a message for me means I matter, and I truly appreciate you all. The previous year had its challenges but there is nothing as joyful as winning a war. I pray God shows up for you all amid the storm. I can't do without talking about the goodness of the mighty God. He is the reason I celebrated and was celebrated. All the glory belongs to him. To my immediate family My husband, Children, Mother, brothers, and sisters, you are the best thing after Jesus and I love you always. To my friends you all are special. New year Resolution

Hello friends, compliment of the season. It's going to be a new year in three days and a lot of us cannot wait especially with a new year resolution. You do not have to wait till it's Jan 1st, 2021 to effect the change you want. You can make it happen now. You need to be intentional about living.  Just like an elastic band, it remains the same way until a force acts on it and it stretches. Be ready to push, except you take that extra step and put in your best you might not see the change you want. You can even document your daily activities to be more accountable. Let's be intentional about creating that atmosphere and environment we so desire to live in. Don't be too hard on yourself if you fail at it sometimes. There is always room for improvement. Don't just do it because you want to, leave your footprints on it. Try out new things, put in your best, and most importantly Do it without Fear. See you at the top. Linda 🤗

'Merry Christmas' or 'Lockdown Christmas'

While we are happy to be gradually free from the clutches of the Pandemic. Seems like some will be having a Lockdown Christmas.  If using a nose mask and obeying the directives of curbing the Pandemic is important, I do not understand why some still act like it doesn't matter. It's just a day to Christmas and while we will be going out, that's if your state permits to celebrate, let's don't forget we have to be responsible for our actions.  I feel like I experienced the Christmas celebration at its peak in childhood. The atmosphere doesn't feel the same. The earth is so polluted with evil and to this day I no longer want to hear the news because of the strange things that are been reported. Try and feed your thoughts with only positive things, things that are soul, body, and spirit-lifting. Don't stop being you and be around the people you care about and who care about you too. I pray that this season of Christmas brings you joy, laughter, and all the happin...

Pondering at midnight

I woke up at midnight pondering on a lot of things, Nigeria most especially. I am so happy for the Americans. They wanted change and they got it, thinking ours is still some years away.  Not 1, not 2, but 3 years. We are strong, there is so much happening. Inflation, rise in poverty, failed education system, poor infrastructure, no security for lives and property, no constant supply of electricity. The list is endless.  The lives of the youth and future leaders are at stake. The academic body of universities (ASUU) has been on strike for months now, the negotiation for a more convenient payment platform has been unending. It's so shameful. Every day in this country is taking a risk. I honestly wish for change now. It's sad to watch this never-ending movie Nigeria.  I also sincerely do not understand why a leader who once failed at his duty to lead is seeking an opportunity to lead again. Maybe I will have some relief,  don't know when or how it will happen but ...

Life Update, End sars Protest, and ...

Hello friends,  it's been a while here and it feels like I have been off for too long, My apologies.  A lot has happened in Nigeria and the world at large. Firstly the Pandemic and a day Nigerians will never forget, ' October 20th, 2020. #lekkimasaccre  That should be a day set aside to honour those we lost. The brave ones who stood their ground and would never shift fighting for a better Nigeria for those born and unborn. How would I speak of this day without talking about Dj switch. I am in awe of how brave she was. Even in the heat of the shootings and her own life at stake. She wouldn't bend and aired the whole event using her Instagram life. May the souls of all we lost rest in peace. Are you feeling the harmattan already? It's going to be my favorite time of the year soon. Who else is excited about Christmas? I will try to keep you updated and do a random post daily in December. Life has been happening and I have been so busy. I think the award of best mum should ...

60th Nigeria Independence, Is it worth Celebrating, Yay or Nay?

It's a new dawn. Another year of hope.  Another independence. It's Nigeria's 60th independence anniversary. We aren't close to where we want to be. We long for the day we will be there. Free from corruption and a failed system. We cannot pretend everything is fine when it's not. It might be for you but is it for Nigerians? There are issues that needs solutions. We can not continue to suffer and smile. Are we really independent after the independence. It seems like there are 2 kinds of people in this country. The independent and the dependent. The independent "those who are in power" the high and mighty. The dependent " the masses" the vulnerable. Today isn't a day worth celebrating as a country but as an individual celebrate because you are alive after so many hiccups especially killings of innocent lives. You are alive! If a man is 60 years old. He would probably have grand children and should at least have an inheritance for his children. I...
